194003087 - E5060 CRUISE CONTROL - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The Cruise Control function is managed by engine management control unit M010 by controlling the left steering wheel stalk control H005 (connector D).The control is supplied from an ignition-operated line (INT from the steering lock control unit) - pin 2 - protected by fuse F49 of the underfacia junction unit B002.The steering column switch unit H005 is connected to control unit M10:- at pin 41 of connector A, with the ON/OFF signal;- at pin 42 of connector A, with the RESUME signal;- at pin 43 of connector A, with the SET + signal;- at pin 44 of connector A, with the SET - signal.The engine management control unit M010 controls the Cruise Control function by means of the brake pedal released signals (N.C. contact) from the second contact of the brake pedal switch I030, the signal from the clutch switch I031, the signal from the accelerator pedal K055 and the speedometer signal from the ABS/ESP M051 control unit via the CAN.    See E5030 PETROL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENTThe control unit M010 also receives signals, via the CAN, used by the ABS/ESP control unit M051.    See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINESThe engine management control unit M010 is connected, via the CAN line, to the Body Computer and the instrument panel E050 to manage the Cruise Control on warning light.
