Boot opening switch I011 sends an earth signal with the boot open to pin 36 of connector E of Body Computer M001 and directly to boot courtesy light G040 A (right) and G040 B (left) -.

The contact in question indicates boot open status. The switch is equipped with another contact that indicates "boot not completely closed" status, used by the boot lock and alarm functions.
