The vehicle is equipped with a radio system comprising:- radio;- wiring (radio and speakers);- speakers on the mirror triangle (tweeters);- speakers on the front doors (mid-woofers);- speakers on the rear doors (full-range);- AM/FM aerial coaxial lead;- aerial mount and stem.In this configuration, the radio is a node on the CAN network, via which it exchanges information with the Body Computer and the other electronic units to provide the customer with a set of functions, namely:- automatic deactivation 20 minutes after Key-OFF to safeguard the battery;- control of dimmed radio display lighting with the side lights on;- vehicle speed dependent volume control (SVC);- steering wheel controls (where applicable)The radio is available in two different versions according to customer needs and may be fitted with a conventional CD or a MP3 (compressed file) CD player.The radio is equipped with a safety system with a four-figure identification code on a card given to the customer at the time the vehicle is collected with a radio fitted as part of its original equipment.The above code should be entered whenever the battery is disconnected to prevent its reuse on another vehicle.It is also possible to fit a multi-polar cable connecting the radio to a CD changer located in the glove compartment on the passenger side.This configuration includes wiring for a mobile phone with handsfree kit.Some versions are equipped with radio controls on the steering wheel (6 key version): these make it possible to replicate some of the commands which are acquired as analogue signals by the radio.
