The air conditioning is the electrified manual type with the distribution featuring the possibility of shuttering and directing the flows in many ways, thereby guaranteeing an even effect throughout the passenger compartment. An electronic control unit manages the climate control in the passenger comaprtment regulating the air distribution and mixture by means of special actuators. The control for different fan speeds is via a resistance partitioner protected against temperature surges by a thermal contact and two relays. All versions are equipped with a pollen filter and air distribution to the rear passengers. The manual climate control layout features three rotary controls and 4 buttons.- the left knob allows the adjustment of the distribution;- the middlet knob allows the adjustment of the tempreature;- the right knob allows the adjustment of the fan speed. The panel contains the buttons for switching on the compressor, recirculation, MAX DEF defrosting/demisting function and the heated rear windscreen. The following parameters/functions can be altered manually:- temperature;- air distribution in 5 positions;- fan speed;- compressor enablement;- defrosting/demisting function;- recirculation. The right centre area of the console houses the air recirculation and air conditioning compressor engagement buttons. See E6021 COMPRESSOR ENGAGEMENTThe left centre area houses the controls for engaging the heated rear windscreen and demisting the windscreen. See E3030 HEATED REAR WINDSCREEN AND DOOR MIRROR DEFROSTINGThe manual climate control system control unit has two supply lines, one direct and one ignition-controlled, protected by two fuses in the junction unit under the dashboard. The passenger compartment air fan receives a power supply from a line protected by a special fuse and operated by a specific relay in the engine compartment junction unit.
