194002276 - 44A ROAD TEST FOR COMFORT EVALUATION

- Carry out a road test on traffic free roads in safe conditions following the highway code.- Before proceeding with the test, check the inflation pressure of the two vehicles, restoring the values to the correct ones if they are found to be incorrect.- Also check the conditions of the wheel rims making sure they are not distorted or broken, replacing them if any faults are found.- Carry out the test on an uneven road surface, at a speed of 40 km/h to check the capacity of the suspension to absorb the stresses produced by small imperfections (suspension damping) with the consesquent acoustic repercussions inside the passenger compartment.- Check the capacity of the suspension to absorb the stresses produced by large imperfections and the consequent acoustic repercussions inside the passenger compartment, carry out the road test at a speed of 40 km/h over a route that has a series of pot-holes.- Check the rapid damping of any pitching produced by the irregularities in the road surface, carrying out the test at a speed of 50 km/h on a straight road with suitably spaced humps and holes.- This type of test should always be used for comparison with a new vehicle or reference vehicle of the same trim level and engine type, available in the workshop at the time of the test in question.- At the end of the test in question, assess/rate the driving comfort of the vehicle in accordance with the enclosed table.
