FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The climate control system control unit M70 receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) at pin 1 of connector C from the line protected by fuse F51 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2; it receives a direct power supply at pin 12 of connector C from the line protected by fuse F39 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2. Pin 6 of connector C of M70 is earthed.Control unit M70 is connected, via the CAN line, from pins 2 and 3 of connector C to the Body Computer M1 and to the other nodes exchanging the following signals:- outside temperature signal;- speedometer signal;- windscreen washer engagement signal for activating recirculation;- window closing control; - battery voltage signal.    See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES Sensors K111 and K113 (right and left lower treated air) and K110 and K112 (right and left upper treated air) are connected to control unit M70: these sensors receive a reference earth from pin 14 of connector A and send the signals to pins 11, 1, 12 and 10 of connector A of M70.The solar sensor K90 informs the control unit of the heat coming from the sun''s rays: it receives a 5V power supply from pin 18 of connector A of control unit M70 and gives out two signals: to pin 7 for the right area, to pin 6 for the left area. The exhaust gas presence sensor (A.Q.S.) K64 provides a recirculation control signal when the air pollution index exceeds the pre-set harmful levels: it receives a power supply at pin 1 from the ignition-controlled line (INT) protected by fuse F51 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2; pin 2 is earthed and pin 3 sends a signal to pin 10 of connector C of M70.The sensor which measures the outside temperature is located on the passenger door mirror P61: the sensor is connected to Body Computer M1 and from there, via the CAN, to M70.The Body Computer M1 receives a direct supply from the battery via the line protected by maxifuse B99 at pin 18 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit under the dashboard B2; the ignition-controlled supply (INT) reaches pin 9 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit B2.Mixer actuators N78 and N79 are controlled by control unit M70 from pins 9-11 and 3-4 respectively of connector B, they receive a power supply for control of the potentiometer from pin 17 of connector A of M70, a referenence earth from pin 14 of connector A of M70, and send a feedback signal to pins 2 and 3 of M70.Distribution actuators N83 and N80 are controlled by control unit M70 from pins 12-10 and 5-6 respectively of connector B, they receive a power supply for control of the potentiometer from pin 17 of connector A of M70, a referenence earth from pin 14 of connector A of M70, and send a feedback signal to pins 12 and 13 of connector A of M70.Recirculation actuator N82 is controlled by control unit M70 by pins 1 and 2 of connector B.The fan N85 (with built-in electronic speed adjustment) receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT/A) from the line protected by fuse F31 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2 and controlled by relay T8 and dedicated fuse F8 of the engine compartment junction unit B1; it receives an input control signal from the control unit for the various speeds from pin 11 of connector C of M70 and returns a feedback signal to pin 8 of connector A of M70.Pin 4 of connector C of M70 controls compressor activation:    See E6021 COMPRESSOR ENGAGEMENT Pins 7 and 8 of connector B of M70 control the engagement of the additional electric heater:    See E6015 ADDITIONAL HEATER
