Removing ( Refitting )     Op. 7050B12 REAR SEAT HEAD RESTRAINT - R.R.1. Undo the bolts.2. Remove the panel with handle.3. Undo the bolts.4. Remove panel (4a), releasing it from seat belt (4b) through slot (4c).5. Undo the bolts.6. Remove the retaining ring panel.
1. Remove end parts (1a) (1b) and (1c) of the zip fastener.2. Use pliers to remove end clamps (2a) and (2b).3. Open zip fasteners (3a) and (3b) along their length.4. Use pliers to remove end clamp (4a).5. Open zip fastener (5a) along its entire length, by means of slide (5b) alone.If slide (5b) is not present on the backrest, use the slider in kit 51704742, inserting it in the direction shown in the diagram.
If zip (5a) is not opened using slide (5b), it may not be possible to reclose it correctly during refitting.
6. Release cover terminal retainer (6a) from seat (6b) on the structure.7. Lift up the backrest rear cover.
1. Lift up the metal structure of backrest (1a) from the cover with padding (1b).2. Undo retainers (2a) and remove head restraint guide bushes (2b) from the backrest structure.3. Remove the cover with padding.
- If necessary, separate the backrest cover from the padding as described below.1. Prise up the cover by releasing it from the padding edge.2. Use cutters to cut all the front backrest trim retainers.3. Separate cover (3a) from padding (3b).
Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the backrest trim is not damaged.- If removed, position the backrest cover on the padding and crimp the retainers using special pliers.
Mould the cover on the padding during the various refitting stages.
- Fit the cover on the upper padding area.- Position the padding on the upper part of the backrest frame, then insert the head restraint bushes into their housings and engage the retainers.
The two head restraint bushes each have different retainers and engagement seats.
- Fully fit the backrest cover onto the padding.- Attach the cover terminal retainer to its seat on the structure.1. Close zip (1a) using slider (1b) from kit 51704742. Remove the slide and apply retaining clamps (1c) to the ends of the zip.2. Close zip (2a) using slide (1a) removed from zip. Remove the slide and apply retaining clamps (2b) to the ends of the zip.3. Close zip fastening (3a) using the slide already applied when removing the cover.Remove the slide (only if it wasn''t present on the backrest) and apply retaining clamp (3b) to the end of the zip fastener.4. Fit zip fastener terminals (4a) (4b) (4c) inside the cover.
- Position the retaining ring panel and tighten the bolts.- Engage the panel onto the seat belt through the slot, then place it in position.- Tighten the bolts.- Position the panel with handle.- Tighten the bolts.    Op. 7050B12 REAR SEAT HEAD RESTRAINT - R.R.
