STEP	CHECK TO BE PERFORMED	REMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1	Knock sensor check Disconnect the negative battery lead With an Examiner in voltmeter mode, connect the probes between the terminal of the knock sensor coming from pin "56" of connector B of the engine control unit and earth Start the engine and let it reach operating temperature. Accelerate the engine to 4000 rpm Accelerate and check that the voltage increases as the engine speed increases. Press the Start button on the Examiner voltmeter to begin downloading a graph. The resulting graph should be similar to the one in FIG.2.	Restore the continuity of the wiring between the sensor and the engine control unitReplace the knock sensor Op. 5510C42 DETONATION SENSOR (ONE) - R.R. Replace the engine control unit Op. 1056B82 INJECTION/IGNITION SYSTEM E.C.U. (ONE) - R + R

Knock sensor check
