) - Position the vehicle on a lift. Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE Op. 1080C83 EXHAUST GAS INLET PIPING FROM EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAT EXCHANGER EGR - R R 1. Detach the air temperature sensor electrical connection.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the water supply hose to the radiator, thermostat side.

1. Loosen the band and disconnect the degassing pipe from the thermostat.2. Loosen the bands (2a), (2b) and disconnect the heater water supply and return pipes, thermostat side.3. Loosen the band and disconnect the supply pipe from the thermostat to the water pump rigid return pipe.4. Disconnect the bands (4a) and (4b) and disconnect the water supply and return pipes, EGR heat exchanger side.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the exhaust gas supply pipe to the EGR solenoid valve.2. Undo the bolt (2a) and remove the exahust gas supply pipe to the EGR solenoid valve (2b).3. Undo the bolts fixing the EGR heat exchanger mounting bracket to the cylinder head.

1. Undo the nut (1a) and the bolt with the double shank (1b) fixing the thermostat-EGR heat exchanger to the cylinder head.2. Remove the thermostat unit together with the EGR heat exchanger.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Place the thermostat-EGR heat exchanger assembly in position.- Tighten the bolt with the double shank fixing the thermostat to the cylinder head to the recommended torque.

- Tighten the nut fixing the EGR heat exchanger to the bolt with the double shank.- Tighten the bolts fixing the EGR heat exchanger mounting bracket to the cylinder head to the recommended torque.

Op. 1080C83 EXHAUST GAS INLET PIPING FROM EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAT EXCHANGER EGR - R R- Place the EGR solenoid valve exhaust gas supply pipe in position and fasten it using the bolts.- Connect the water supply and return pipes, EGR heat exchanger side and tighten the bands.- Connect the supply pipe from the thermostat to the water pump rigid return pipe and tighten the band.- Connect the heater water supply and return pipes, thermostat side and tighten the bands.- Connect the degassing pipe to the thermostat and tighten the band.- Connect the radiator coolant supply hose, thermostat side, and tighten the band.- Attach the electrical connection for the water temperature sensor.
