198000063 - 3380A04 HANDBRAKE - ADJUST TRAVEL

The handbrake should only be adjusted after the rear brake pads or complete cables have been replaced. This is because the play take-up caused by wear is automatic.

- Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 7040L70 TUNNEL COVER REAR TRIM - R.R.1. Mark the position of the nut, then loosen the handbrake cable adjustment nut by at least two or three turns to ensure the cable is completely slack. - Start up the engine and operate the brake pedal energetically at least ten times.- Place the handbrake lever in the fifth notch on the toothed sector.- Tighten the adjustment nut on the handbrake lever until the rear wheels are not braked.- Check that the wheels are free to turn with the lever in the rest position.- Switch off the engine.    Op. 7040L70 TUNNEL COVER REAR TRIM - R.R.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
