198000378 - E2030 FOG LIGHTS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The (earth) activation signal for the fog lights reaches pin 35 of connector g of M1 from the control button in the panel in the centre of the dashboard, left side H90B.The reference earth reaches pin 1 of H90B from pin 36 of connector G of M1.The side lights activation signal is sent to pin 28 of connector G of the M1 from the steering column switch unit H5.    See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS The coil for relay T14 is supplied by the ignition-controlled line 15/54 whilst relay T17 is supplied by the starting exclusing ignition-controlled supply (INT/A) protected by fuse F31 of junction unit B2.The Body Computer M1 receives a direct supply from the battery via the line protected by maxifuse B99 at pin 18 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit under the dashboard B2; the ignition-controlled supply (INT) reaches pin 9 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit B2.The Body Computer M1 controls the separate supply for the fog lights sending an earth signal to relays T14 and T17 in the junction unit in the engine compartment B1 from pins 18 and 11 respectively of connector A of M1.These control signals energize relay T14 which supplies the left fog light F15 and relay T17 which supplies the right fog light F16 via the lines protected by fuses F30 and F9 of junction unit B1.The Body Computer M1 is connected via the CAN line to the instrument panel E50 to manage the "fog lights on" warning light.
