FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The CODE unit inside the Body Computer M1 receives a direct supply from the battery via the line protected by maxifuse B99 at pin 18 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit under the dashboard B2; the ignition-controlled supply (INT) reaches pin 9 of connector F of the interface with the junction unit B2.Pins 10 and 19 of connector H of M1 supply the Body Computer with a reference earth.The CODE aerial P91 is connected by means of two cables to the CODE unit M1, at pins 7 and 8 of connector A; the aerial is positioned coaxially on the ignition switch in order to detect the key being inserted and turned.The key recognition communication and exchange of codes between Body Computer M1 and engine control unit M10 takes place via the C-CAN network.The Body Computer M1 is connected via the CAN line to the instrument panel E50 to manage the "CODE failure" warning light.
