Removing ( Refitting ) 1. Press the brake pedal, turn clockwise and remove the switch from the pedal unit mount.2. Disconnect the switch electrical connection on brake pedal.

Refitting ( Removing )

If a new brake pedal switch supplied by the Parts. Dept is fitted, no adjustment of the rod travel is necessary.

If the original brake pedal switch is refitted, the rod must be adjusted, taking it to maximum extension, as shown in the diagram.

During removal of the rod, take care not to damage the internal teeth.

- Press the brake pedal, engage the switch in the splining and lock it by turning anticlockwise until it clicks into place in the retaining tooth.- Release the brake pedal.- Connect the electrical connection for the brake pedal switch.- Check that the brake lights are working.
