198003087 - 5040A50 PIPE FROM AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR TO CONDENSER - R+R

Removing ( Refitting )
Follow the recommended safety instructions (see 5040 - Introduction).
- Position the vehicle on a lift.- Drain the coolant.    Op. 0010T84 COOLANT FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - DEHYDRATE AND REPRESSURIZE     Op. 7210E10 R.R. FRONT BUMPER 1. Working on the compressor, undo the bolt (1a) and disconnect the connector (1b) for the pipe from the compressor to the condenser.
Seal the connectors that have been disconnected using suitable plugs to prevent dampness and impurities from entering the system.
- Raise the vehicle.    Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. 1. Undo the bolt (1a) and disconnect the connectors (1b) and (1c) for the pipes connected to the condenser (1d).2. Remove the pipe from the compressor to the condenser.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the pipe from the compressor to the condenser is not damaged and that there are no cracks that could compromise the seal.
Replace the O-rings on the connectors. Only use green coloured seals that are resistant to R134a coolant.Lubricate the connector threads using anti-freeze.
1. Place the pipe from the compressor to the condenser in position.2. Connect the connectors (1a) and (1b) for the condener (1c) pipes and tighten the bolt (1d) to the recommended torque.
