Removing ( Refitting ) - Remove the front weatherstrip.    Op. 7030B49 SLIDING ROOF FRONT ANTI-WIND NOISE GASKET - R R    Op. 7030B41 SLIDING ROOF ASSEMBLY OUTER MOULDING (ONE) - R R1. Using a drill and saw, remove a centre section (1a) of the front panel (in order to access the sealant perimeter strip (1b) later on).
- The front panel sealant can be cut using a piano wire or vibrating knife; both methods are described below.- To cut using a piano wire, proceed as described below.1. Cut a length of piano wire of about 50 cm, then use pliers to introduce one end (1a) of the wire through the strip of sealant (1b) securing the front panel (1c).2. Fasten one end (1a) of the wire to the special retaining tool (2a).Fasten one end (2b) of the wire to the traction handle (2c).3. The mechanic should keep the end of the tool (2a) on the bead of sealant (3a) about 30 cm from the point where the wire passes through. The other mechanic should pull the handle (2c) following the surround of the panel and then cut bead of sealant (3a).Repeat the operation in sections of about 30 cm until the bead of sealant (3a) is completely cut.
- To cut using a vibrating knife, proceed as described below.1. Use the vibrating knife (1a) and blade (1b) and, working via the opening, cut the sealant strip (1d).
1. After having cut the entire sealant strip, remove the front panel.
When the front panel has been removed it cannot be reused.
Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Using suitable equipment, cut and level the bead of sealant in the panel housing leaving a thickness of between 0.25 and 1 mm, taking care not to scratch the paintwork. The thickness of the sealant remaining in the housing will act as a support for the new bonding.2. Thoroughly clean the panel housing using an air jet and degrease fully using heptane. When bonding, 60 minutes after the bead of sealant has been cut and levelled, the surface of the actual sealant must be treated using the special activating product and it is necessary to wait for 15 minutes before fitting the windscreen.

- If necessary, touch up the paintwork.
1. Degrease the adhesive surface (1a) of the new panel using heptane.2. Apply glass adhesion promoter (primer) (2b) to the adhesion surface using the wick (2a) supplied in the kit.
Wait for about 15 minutes before continuing with the next operation to allow the adhesion promoter (primer) thinner to evaporate.
1. Close the sliding transparent panel provisionally.2. Carry out a test fitting and centre the panel on the windscreen, the sliding transparent panel and the side structures.3. When the panel has been centred, mark the position of the panel in relation to the housing using strips of adhesive tape.4. Check that the front panel (4a) is about 3 mm higher than the sliding transparent panel (4b) as illustrated.5. Cut the strips of adhesive tape and remove the panel.6. Reopen the sliding transparent panel.
1. Using an air gun, apply a bead of sealant (1a) along the perimeter of the panel housing as evenly as possible.

Start the operation from the area (1b) at the front and continue without breaks along the entire perimeter of the panel.
1. Place the panel in position immediately after applying the sealant and let it bed in.
1. Position the belts (1a) as illustrated and tension themt to exert even pressure on the entire panel in order to guarantee that the window (1b), sealant (1c) and panel housing (1d) are correctly matched.
