198000017 - 0010T12 ENGINE OIL AND FILTER - REPLACE

Engine oil is harmful to skin: keep contact with skin to a minimum and if there is contact wash with soap and water.

- Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. - Remove the filler cap with the engine hot.- Release the engine oil dipstick.1. Undo the drain plug in the crankcase sump and leave the oil to drain into a suitable container.

Be very careful when removing the drain plug, the oil could be very hot.

Do not let the oil disperse into the environment as indiscriminate dispersion of this product causes pollution.

- Replace the engine oil filter; refer to    Op. 1084B30 ENGINE OIL FILTER - R.R - Clean the drain plug and tighten the gasket to the recommended torque.

- Refill the engine lubrication circuit with the recommended oil.

The table shows the quantity for periodic replacement.

- Check that the engine oil level is correct using the dipstick.

The oil level is checked with the vehicle on a flat surface.

- Fit the filler cap, let the engine idle for about 2 minutes, switch off the engine and then wait for several minutes.- Check the oil level and make sure there are no leaks.    Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

For versions with DPF only, proceed with the renewal operations using the Examiner.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
