Removing ( Refitting )

The catalytic preconverter is only fitted on the versions without a DPF.

- Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R     Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.     Op. 1076B20 REAR EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R     Op. 1080B62 CATALYTIC CONVERTER - R + R     Op. 1076B72 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST PIPE WITH HOSE SECTION - R+R 1. Undo the bolts (1a) and the nuts (1b) and remove the catalytic preconverter mounting bracket (1c) together with the engine oil filter protection (1d).     Op. 1080B90 LAMBDA SENSOR - R.R.    Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD - R+R 1. Loosen the collar (1a) and remove the catalytic preconverter (1b). Refitting ( Removing ) - Place the catalytic preconverter in its housing and fasten it to the turbocharger, tightening the collar to the recommended torque.

    Op. 1072C44 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT SHIELD - R+R     Op. 1080B90 LAMBDA SENSOR - R.R.- Place the catalytic preconverter mounting bracket in position together with the engine oil filter protection and tighten the nuts and bolts to the recommended torque.
