198002197 - 5040C54 AIR CONDITIONING HEATER RADIATOR - R+R WITH AIR CONDITIONING CASING REMOVED

Removing ( Refitting ) 1. Unscrew the bolts on the heater pipe retaining band.2. Remove the retaining band.3. Remove the pipe duct seal.
- Move the electrical wiring aside.1. Undo bolts securing the water pipe shield.2. Remove the water pipe shield.
1. Extract the heater radiator.
1. Working at the bench, remove the bolts on the retaining bands securing the pipes to the heater.- Open the retaining bands.2. Disconnect the heater coolant rigid delivery and return pipes.3. Remove the O-ring.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Insert the new O-ring at the end of the rigid pipe.
Retaining bands and O-rings for heater coolant rigid supply and return pipes must always be replaced.
- Insert the rigid pipes into the radiator.- Fix the rigid pipes to the radiator by tightening the bolts closing the retaining bands.- Fit the heater radiator in its housing.- Secure the cover by tightening the bolts.- Secure the water pipe shield by tightening the bolts.- Position the electrical wiring.- Clean the bonding surface of the pipe duct seal with an appropriate tool to remove residues of the seal removed earlier.- Position the rigid heater pipes in their housing.- Tighten the bolts to secure the retaining band for the rigid heater pipes.
