Removing ( Refitting )

Before removing and refitting the sensor the following preliminary operations must be carried out.

- Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and extract it.- Disconnect the battery.    Op. 7040L40 FRONT DOOR RUNNING BOARD (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7040L44 REAR DOOR RUNNING BOARD (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.    Op. 7040H36 CENTRE PILLAR LOWER ELEMENT (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R 1. Undo the bolt.2. Move the sensor (2a) releasing the retainer (2b).3. Detach the electrical connection.

4. Keep the Side Bag sensor. Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the Side Bag sensor is not damaged.1. Secure the electrical connection.2. Place the sensor (2a) in position and attach the retainer (2b).3. Tighten the bolt.
