- Open the tailgate.1. Check that the buffers (1a) are working properly. Adjust them if necessary.Check that the self-adjusting buffer (1a) is working properly.Replace it if necessary.    Op. 7015B12 TAILGATE SELF-ADJUSTING BUFFERS - R.R.2. Check that the tailgate housing seal along the entire perimeter is working properly.3. If necessary, adjust the position of the lock striker.    Op. 7015B18 TAILGATE LOCK STRIKER - R+R - If the adjustments indicated in the previous points are insufficient, adjust the position of the tailgate hinges as described below.Support the tailgate appropriately when necessary.1. Working from both sides of the vehicle, loosen the tailgate bolts and adjust the tailgate position using the slotted holes in the hinges.

2. After adjustment, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Release the seals (1a) for the rear door housing (1b) and the tailgate housing in the area of the left side trim.2. Remove the trim (2a) for the backrest retainer striker.3. Undo the bolts fixing the side trim.4. Release the inner retainers (4a) for the side trim (4b) using the special tool.

5. Lower the side trim (4b) without releasing it from the rear seat belt (5a).- Also move the right side trim, repeating the operations in points 1 to 5. 1. Release the door housing seals in the area of the left upper centre pillar cover.2. Release the bolt covers.3. Undo the bolt.4. Move the upper pillar cover (4a) releasing the inner retainers (4b).5. Lower the upper pillar cover (4a), without releasing it from the seat belt (5a).- Also move the right upper centre pillar cover, repeating the operations in points 1 to 5. 1. Gently lower the rear end of the ceiling lining (1a).2. Working from both sides of the vehicle, loosen the bolts (2a) attaching the tailgate hinges to the body and adjust the hinge position using the slotted holes.

3. After adjustment, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
