Removing ( Refitting )     Op. 7045B10 FRONT SEAT HEAD RESTRAINT, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7045A24 FRONT SEAT BACKREST ANGLE ADJUSTMENT KNOB (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7045A25 FRONT SEAT BACKREST LUMBAR ADJUSTMENT KNOB (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 5580C44 FRONT SIDE BAG MODULE (ONE) LH OR RH - R.R 1. Disconnect the backrest cover front and rear lower terminal retainers, connected to each other.2. Raise the backrest cover as far as possible.
1. Undo retainers (1a) and withdraw head restraint bushes (1b) from backrest frame.2. Remove backrest cover with padding (2b) from backrest frame (2a).
- If necessary, separate the backrest cover from the padding as described below.1. Prise up the cover by releasing from the padding edge.2. Disengage backrest cover (2a) from front retainers (2b).3. Separate cover (2a) from padding (3a).
Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the backrest trim is not damaged.- Observe the following precautions.
Never repair the cover. Only use new covers. Never, under any circumstances, use a backrest cover that is not specifically designed for this particular type of seat.
- Check that the airbag backrest trim identification mark is on the same side as the sidebag module.- If a new backrest trim is being fitted, position the labels as described below.- Remove the removable part of the adhesive label from the new backrest cover. Place a copy of the label in a special folder containing the vehicle details (model, registration date, chassis number) and the serial number of the old backrest cover. The file should be kept for future checks.- Fit the detachable part of the original label on the lower part of the seat, where similar labels for the seat and the sidebag module and the airbag wiring can already be found.1. If removed, position backrest cover (1a) on padding (1b) and engage retainers (1c).
Mould the cover on the padding during the various refitting stages.
2. Fit cover (1a) on upper padding area (2a).
1. Position the padding with cover on the backrest frame.2. Place head restraint bushes (2a) in position and attach retainers (2b).
The two head restraint bushes have different retainers and engagement seats.
- Lower and fully fit the backrest cover onto the padding.- Connect the backrest cover front and rear lower terminal retainers to each other.    Op. 5580C44 FRONT SIDE BAG MODULE (ONE) LH OR RH - R.R     Op. 7045A25 FRONT SEAT BACKREST LUMBAR ADJUSTMENT KNOB (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7045A24 FRONT SEAT BACKREST ANGLE ADJUSTMENT KNOB (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7045B10 FRONT SEAT HEAD RESTRAINT, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R. - Connect the battery and use an Examiner to check that the system has not acquired errors during the operation.
