1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the flanges on the differential (1b) complete with seals.2. Remove the scraper ring.3. Remove the bolts (3a) and remove the differential internal housing support (3b).
Refitting ( Removing ) Apply sealant to the entire surface matched with the differential internal housing support.1. Place the differential internal casing support (1a) in its housing and secure it tightening the bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

Using a suitable drift, move the engine side tapered bearing inner/outer race closer.1. Position the tool, complete with dial gauge, on the engine dside differential flange and zero the dial gauge with a pre-loading of 1 mm.

Calculate the size of the scraper ring for the differential bearing pre-loading by adding 0.12 mm to the difference measured.
0.12 corresponds to the recommended interference for the bedding in and pre-loading of the differential bearings.
1. Place the scraper ring or rings of exactly the size or the next largest size to that calculated for the differential bearing pre-loading in the housing.2. Position the flange in its housing on the engine side differential (2a) complete with a new seal and secure it tightening the bolts (2b) to the recommended torque.
