- Protect the vehicle fittings with suitable cloths.- The fixed transparent panel sealant can be cut using a piano wire or vibrating knife; both methods are described below.- To cut using a piano wire, proceed as described below.1. Cut a length of piano wire of about 50 cm, then use pliers to introduce one end (1a) of the wire through the strip of sealant (1b) securing the fixed transparent panel (1c).2. Secure the end (1a) of the wire to the special retaining tool (2a) inside the vehicle. Secure the end (2b) of the wire to the traction handle tool (2c) outside the vehicle.3. The mechanic inside the vehicle should keep the end of the tool (2a) on the bead of sealant (3a) about 30 cm from the point where the wire passes through. The other mechanic, outside the vehicle, should pull handle (2c) following the surround of the fixed window and then cut bead of sealant (3a).Repeat the operation in sections of about 30 cm until the bead of sealant (3a) is completely cut.
- To cut using a vibrating knife, proceed as described below.1. Use the vibrating knife (1a) and blade (1b) and, working from inside the vehicle, cut the sections (1c) of sealant strip.Working from outside the vehicle, cut the sections (1d) of sealant strip.
1. After having cut the entire sealant strip, fit the suction pads to the fixed transparent panel, then, with the help of a second mechanic, remove the fixed transparent panel and rest it on a support stand.
Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Using suitable equipment, cut and level the bead of sealant in the fixed transparent panel housing leaving a thickness of between 0.25 and 1 mm, taking care not to scratch the paintwork. The thickness of the sealant remaining in the housing will act as a support for the new bonding.2. Thoroughly clean the fixed transparent panel housing using an air jet and degrease fully using heptane. When bonding, 60 minutes after the bead of sealant has been cut and levelled, the surface of the actual sealant must be treated using the special activating product and it is necessary to wait for 15 minutes before fitting the windscreen.

- If necessary, touch up the paintwork.
- New window preparation.1. Degrease the adhesive surface (1a) of the new fixed window using heptane.2. Apply glass adhesion promoter (primer) (2b) to the adhesion surface using the wick (2a) supplied in the kit.
Wait for about 15 minutes before continuing with the next operation to allow the adhesion promoter (primer) thinner to evaporate.
- Preparing a removed window.1. Using a suitable tool cut and level the sealant strip on the fixed window so that the thickness is reduced to a minimum. The remaining sealant does not have to be completely removed; take care not to damage the black serigraphy on the glass perimeter.2. Clean the perimeter adhesive area of the window thoroughly with an air jet and degrease fully with heptane. Check that the window is not damaged. When bonding, 60 minutes after the bead of sealant has been cut and levelled, the surface of the actual sealant must be treated using the special activating product and it is necessary to wait for 15 minutes before fitting the windscreen.

Carry out a test fitting and centre the window (1a) on the support (1b) on the side lines (1c) of the frame, the tailgate (1d) and the front window (1e).2. When the window has been centred, mark the position of the window in relation to the housing using strips of adhesive tape.3. Check that the fixed transparent panel (3a) is about 1 mm lower than the sliding transparent panel (3b) as illustrated.4. Cut the strips of adhesive tape and remove the glass.
1. Using an air gun, apply a bead of sealant (1a) and an inner strips (1b) as evenly as possible along the perimeter of the sun roof as evenly as possible.

Start the operation from the area (1c) at the back and continue without breaks along the entire perimeter of the window.
1. With the help of a second mechanic place the fixed window in position immediately after applying the sealant and let it bed in.
1. Position the belt (1a) as illustrated and tension it to exert even pressure on the entire window in order to guarantee that the window (1b), sealant (1c) and window housing (1d) are correctly matched.
- Before refitting the vehicle interior and exterior elements, check that there are no infiltration points by carrying out a water leakage test.- Position the rear guides and pads and tighten the bolts.     Op. 5570T27 AERIAL SUPPORT - R.R     Op. 7030B37 FIXED GLASS BLIND - R.R    Op. 7040H16 ROOF PANEL LINING FOR VERSIONS WITH SUN ROOF - R.R     Op. 7040A47 ODDMENTS POCKET UNDER DASHBOARD - R.R.    Op. 7040A65 CONSOLE SIDE CLOSING (ONE) - R.R.    Op. 7040L20 TUNNEL COVER - R.R     Op. 7040L70 TUNNEL COVER REAR TRIM - R.R.    Op. 7040L73 BOTTLE-HOLDER/ASHTRAY ON REAR TUNNEL TRIM - R.R.    Op. 7040L37 GEAR LEVER TRIM - R.R     Op. 7030B32 SLIDING ROOF DECORATIVE SEAL(1) FRONT OR REAR - R R     Op. 7065C30 GRAB HANDLE (ONE) LEFT, RIGHT OR CENTRE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT INTERIOR - R.R     Op. 7065C34 SUN BLIND (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7040E10 FRONT COURTESY LIGHT - R+R     Op. 7030B64 SUN ROOF CONTROL SWITCH - R+R     Op. 7040E12 CENTRE COURTESY LIGHT - R+R    Op. 7040H67 RIGHT REAR SIDE TRIM, WITH REAR PARCEL SHELF SUPPORT - R.R .     Op. 7040H66 LEFT REAR SIDE TRIM, WITH REAR PARCEL SHELF SUPPORT - R.R .     Op. 7040G30 BOOT LIGHT BULB HOLDER - R.R.    Op. 7040H80 REAR PARCEL SHELF - R.R.     Op. 7040H38 CENTRE PILLAR UPPER ELEMENT (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R     Op. 7040H30 FRONT PILLAR TRIM (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7030B51 SLIDING ROOF CENTRAL ANTI-WIND NOISE GASKET - R R    Op. 7030B41 SLIDING ROOF ASSEMBLY OUTER MOULDING (ONE) - R R
