Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE     Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R     Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R     Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R     Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. 1. Disconnect the coolant return pipe to the engine coolant reservoir.2. Disconnect the radiator upper coolant inlet hose.3. Disconnect the climate control system heater coolant supply pipe.4. Disconnect the coolant delivery pipe to the coolant/exhaust gas heat exchanger for the EGR system.
Collect the coolant that comes out in a suitable container.
5. Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine coolant temperature sensor.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the thermostat (1b) complete with O-ring (1c).
Refitting ( Removing ) - Place the thermostat in its housing with the O-ring and secure it by tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.
