Removing ( Refitting )
The following procedure describes left front brake disc removal/refitting. Proceed in the same way for the right front brake disc except for the removal of the electrical connection.
- Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 4450B02 LEFT FRONT WHEEL - R.R 1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the brake pad wear sensor.

- Remove the electrical connection from the support and the wiring from the retaining bracket.2. Uncrew bolts (2a) securing brake caliper (2b) to the bracket and remove from its seat.
- Secure the brake caliper to the suspension spring.- Remove all traces of any residual adhesive on the side tabs and on the caliper piston.
Avoid using degreasing agents that are not compatible with the rubber parts of the caliper.
1. Remove the front brake pads from the bracket.2. Remove the pad sliding clips from the bracket.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Clean the clip housings on the bracket.
Avoid using degreasing agents that are not compatible with the rubber parts of the caliper.
- Place the new sliding clips from the brake pad kit in their seats in the bracket.- Place the front brake pads in their housings according to the following instructions:- the piston side pad (inside of the vehicle) has the words PISTON SIDE (1a) and the rivets (1b) should be parallel to the fixing tabs (1c);- the vehicle outer pad can be identified through the rivets (2a) perpendicular to the fixing tabs (2b).
- Remove any protection and double sided film from the back of the pad.- Place the brake caliper in its seat and tighten the new bolts from the brake pad kit to the recommended torque following the tightening order (tighten to a pre-torque of 1.5 daNm and then tighten to torque starting with the top bolt).

- Connect the electrical connection for the pad wear sensor and secure the wiring using the retaining clip.    Op. 4450B02 LEFT FRONT WHEEL - R.R - Remove the vehicle from the lift.
