Removing ( Refitting )     Op. 4450B04 RIGHT FRONT WHEEL - R.R 1. Undo the bolts securing the shock absorber to the wheel strut.2. Undo nut (2a) and disconnect anti-roll bar joint (2b) from the shock absorber.
1. Undo nut (1a) and mounting block (1b) and remove shock absorber and spring assembly (1c).
Before undoing nut (1a), insert the spanner fully home into the hexagonal groove at the top of the shock absorber stem.
1. Fit the shock absorber-spring assembly on the special tool.

2. Undo nut (2a) and remove buffers (2b).
- Discharge the spring and remove the shock absorber-spring assembly from the tool.1. Remove dust seal assembly with end of travel buffer (1a), spring (1b) and associated seal (1c).
Refitting ( Removing ) - Assemble the seal, spring, and dust seal assembly complete with end of travel buffer onto the shock absorber.- Compress the shock absorber and the spring using the tool.

1. Place the buffers back in their housings taking care to make marks (1a) coincide with shock absorber fork (1b).
- Tighten to the recommended torque the nut securing the end of travel buffer to the shock absorber, using the counter-torque tool.

- Remove the shock absorber assembly from the tool.- Place the shock absorber assembly in its housing.1. Position a 5mm-diameter pin in the shock absorber buffer in the locating hole on the body, as shown in the diagram.2. Fit plate (2a) and screw in nut (2b), securing the shock absorber to the body, without tightening.
- Connect the anti-roll bar joint to the shock absorber and tighten the nut to the recommended torque.

- Tighten the new bolts securing the shock absorber to the wheel strut to the recommended torque.
To tighten to torque, position the torque wrench on the nut and not on the bolt.

    Op. 4450B04 RIGHT FRONT WHEEL - R.R - With the vehicle on the ground, tighten the new nut securing the shock absorber to the body, screwed in previously, to the recommended torque.
