STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDREMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Check power supply (+15)- Connect an Examiner in Voltmeter mode with the positive probe at pin 1 of connector B and the negative probe earthed- Turn the key to the MAR position. The battery voltage reading should be around 12 volts    See E7045 ELECTRIC STEERING Restore the continuity of the connection between the engine compartment control unit and the electric steering control unit (pin 1 connector B)
2Check earth connectionCheck the continuity of the connection between pin B of connector A and earthRestore the continuity of the earth connection.
3Check power supply (+30)Connect the Examiner in Voltmeter mode with the positive probe connected to pin A of connector A and the negative probe earthed. The battery voltage reading should be 12 VoltCheck the continuity of 70 A fuse F72 in the battery fuse box and replace it if blown, checking what caused it to blow.
