The Customer complains of a poor response from the steering and/or heaviness when steering

2	STEERING HEAVINESS UNIFORMITY CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	With the vehicle stationary, check that the heaviness of the steering varies from one end of travel to the other	Move on to Step 3	The steering heaviness and/or return is uniform	Do not adjust the EPS system. Check for faults in the steering box and the front suspension assembly
3	FAULT EXTENT CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check whether the heaviness is slight or more serious	End of diagnosis	1. The heaviness is slight and occurs during parking manoeuvres2. The heaviness is more serious	1. Do not intervene; the EPS system does not assist the return of the steering from stationary2. Move on to Step 4

	Check:- that the electrical connections and terminals are correctly fitted at the EPS system and Body Computer- that the battery terminals are correctly tightened- the continuity of the EPS supply wiring- check and clean the bodywork terminals earthed	Move on to Step 5	Loose connections and/or breaks in continuity at both ends of the wiring detected	Restore the correct wiring connections
5	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
