198002716 - 1060GF TURBOCHARGING PRESSURE CHECK

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDREMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1Turn the ignition key ON.With the engine off and all users off, the Target Turbocharging Pressure must be within a range of 0.9 to 1.2 bar.Under the same conditions, the Measured Turbocharging Pressure must be in the range of 0.9 to 1.2 bars and in any case must be approximately equal to external pressure.Move on to Step 5
2With the engine idling and accelerator pedal not operated, the Target Turbocharging Pressure must be within a range of 0.9 to 1.2 bar.Under the same conditions, the Measured Turbocharging Pressure must be within a range of 0.9 to 1.2 bars.Move on to Step 5
3Under the same conditions, overboost valve closure should be in the range 70-80%.Continue with the test.    See Test 1064BA TURBOCHARGING PRESSURE CHECK
4With the accelerator pedal slightly pressed and engine speed equal to 3000 rpm, the Target Turbocharging Pressure must be within a range of 1 to 2.3 bar.Under the same conditions, the Measured Turbocharging Pressure must be within a range of 1 to 1.3 bar.The test can be considered overMove on to Step 5
5Turn the ignition key OFF.Disconnect the wiring loom connector from the air temperature and pressure sensor.Turn the ignition key ON.Measure the voltage between regulator (wiring side) Pins 3 and 1    See K044 AIR TEMPERATURE/PRESSURE SENSOREnsure that it is in a range of between 4.8 and 5.2 V.- Restore the wiring between the engine management control unit and the sensor- Replace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - R.R
