198002782 - L015 CLIMATE CONTROL NOT HEATING

The climate control is working properly and sends air according to the preset flows but this air does not provide the required heating.
TEST RESULTS
0PRELIMINARY CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the engine coolant level is within the preset levels and that the coolant fluid circulates correctly in the system.Move on to Step 11. Engine coolant level too low.2. Coolant does not circulate correctly: thermostat valve operating incorrectly.1. Top up to the correct level    Op. 0010T84 COOLANT FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - DEHYDRATE AND REPRESSURIZE check for leaks2. Follow    See table K025 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE NOT WORKING
1CORRECT CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
For versions with automatic climate control:With the engine on, with the compressor off, in manual mode with the temperature set at maximum heat HI. Also place the re-circulation button in the closed position and set the fan speed at 10 bars with the distribution set to the front. Using the diagnostic equipment, check that the engine temperature has reached at least 70 °C. Check that the temperature of the air coming out of the front distribution vents is above 60 °C.For versions with manual climate control:With the engine on and the compressor off, in manual mode with the temperature knob at the maximum hot position. Also, set the recirculation button to the closed position, the fan speed to the 3rd setting and the distribution to front ventilation. Using the diagnostic equipment, check that the engine temperature has reached at least 70 °C. Check that the temperature of the air coming out of the front distribution vents is above 60 °C.End of diagnosisThe temperature of the air coming out of the vents is not as desired.Move on to Step 2
2CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
For versions with automatic climate control:Connect the diagnostic equipment and check:- that there are no errors at the air mixing actuators;- that there are no faults in the engine temperature sensor. For versions with manual climate control:Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment and check that there are no errors in the engine temperature sensor. For versions with automatic climate control:End of diagnosisFor versions with manual climate control:Move on to Step 5For versions with automatic climate control:1. Short circuit error at the air mixture actuators.2. Error in the engine temperature sensorFor versions with manual climate control:Error in the engine temperature sensorFor versions with automatic climate control:1. Move on to Step 32. Continue as instructed by the diagnostic equipment. For versions with manual climate control:Continue as instructed by the diagnostic equipment.
3ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
For versions with automatic climate control:Check whether the electrical wiring connections are loose.Disconnect and visually check for damage in the connector contacts/reconnect the connection to the actuator.Check the continuity/insulation of the electrical connection:- of the air mixing actuator/s;- on the control unit.Move on to Step 41.Electrical connections loose or damaged.2. Electrical connection broken or not insulated.1.Restore the correct electrical connections    See E6020 AIR CONDITIONING 2.Restore the continuity/insulation of the electrical connection    See E6020 AIR CONDITIONING
4CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
For versions with automatic climate control:Check for persistent errors in the air mixer actuatorsEnd of diagnosisAir mixing actuator errorMove on to Step 5
5CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION OF MIXTURE ACTUATOR KINEMATIC COMPONENTSALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
For versions with automatic climate control:Visually check the correct operation of the mixer actuator for the climate control unit temperature control knob.Check whether the control on the control unit is interrupted by checking the electrical continuityFor versions with manual climate control:Visually check the correct operation of the mixer actuator for the climate control unit temperature control knob.Check whether the control on the control unit is interrupted by checking the electrical continuityMove on to Step 61. Incorrect operation of actuator2. Physical impediment to the rotation of the flap.3. Incorrect operation of actuator for control on climate control system control unit. For versions with automatic climate control:1. Replace the mixture actuator2. Replace the control unit.3. Replace the climate control system control unit    Op. 5040D15 FOG LIGHT TRIM - R.R.For versions with manual climate control:1. Replace the mixture actuator2. Replace the control unit.3. Replace the climate control system control unit
6AIR MIXTURE ACTUATOR FLAP CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the air mixture actuator flap completes its travel without any impedimentEnd of diagnosis1. Flap travel incomplete.2. Flap damaged.3. Kinematic components/gears damaged.1. Free the air mixture actuator flap from the hindrance2. Replace the flap.3. Restore the correct kinematic components
