Removing ( Refitting )     Op. 3310A59 FRONT BRAKE DISC GUARD (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT- R.R 1. Remove the staking, fit tool (1a) and undo the nut securing wheel hub (1b).

2. Undo bolt (2a), remove ABS rpm sensor (2b) and move it aside.
1. Unscrew nut (1a), fit tool (1b) and disconnect steering rod (1c) from the strut.

1. Undo the two bolts securing the shock absorber to the strut.2. Undo the bolt securing the strut to the lower wishbone.3. Remove the strut complete with wheel hub.
1. Remove front hub (1a) from strut (1b) using a hydraulic press (1c).
- Place the wheel hub in a vice fitted with protective jaws.1. Move the bearing inner race away from the front hub using a chisel so that the arms of the extractor can be inserted.
Whilst carrying out this operation take great care not to damage the front wheel hub.
1. Remove the bearing inner race from front wheel hub (1a) using tools (1b), (1c) and (1d).

1. Place the front strut in a vice fitted with protective jaws.2. Remove the front wheel hub bearing circle.
1. Remove the front wheel hub bearing from strut (1a) using a hydraulic press (1b).
Refitting ( Removing )
Check that the inner surfaces of the front strut show no signs of seizing and that the arms have not suffered impacts and do not show signs of breaks. If this is not the case, replace the strut.
1. Place a new front wheel hub bearing (1a) in its housing on the front strut using a hydraulic press (1b) and tool (1c).

- Place the front wheel hub bearing circlip in position.1. Place the front wheel hub in position on strut (1a) using a hydraulic press (1b), interposing a cylinder (1c) of suitable diameter.
- Place the strut complete with wheel hub in position.- Tighten the bolt securing the strut to the lower wishbone.

- Tighten the new bolts securing the shock absorber to the strut to the recommended torque.
To tighten to torque, position the torque wrench on the nut and not on the bolt.

- Connect the steering rod to the strut and secure it using the nut.- Position the ABS rpm sensor in its housing and secure it using the bolt.- Tighten the new nut securing the wheel hub to the recommended torque using the counter-torque tool employed during removal.

1. Stake the nut.
