Removing ( Refitting )     Op. 7040A22 INSTRUMENT FACIA COMPLEMENTARY TRIM ELEMENT (ONE) - ARRANGE    Op. 2125C02 GEAR CONTROL LEVER OUTER GAITER R R     Op. 7040L37 GEAR LEVER TRIM - R.R     Op. 7040A47 ODDMENTS POCKET UNDER DASHBOARD - R.R.- Work on both sides.    Op. 7040A65 CONSOLE SIDE CLOSING (ONE) - R.R.1. Remove the side rivets using a drill. Keep the removed parts of the rivets.2. Undo the bolts (2a) and remove the surround (2b).3. Loosen the control unit (3b) fixing bolts (3a).
1. Move the control unit.2. Disconnect electrical connections (2a, 2b, 2c).

3. Recover the control unit.

Some of the CAN nodes, including the climate control system control unit, are programmed with default settings that the customer will find when they purchase the vehicle. If the control unit is being replaced, the Parts Dept. will send a pristine component: once fitted, the data memorized in the Body Computer must be transferred to it by carrying out the PROXY ALIGNMENT procedure using the Examiner.
