) - Position the vehicle on a lift. Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. - Position a hydraulic lift underneath the power unit, gearbox side.1. Undo the bolt fixing the lower reaction rod to the bracket on the gearbox.

1. Undo the nuts securing the front section of the exhaust pipe to the front silencer.- Remove the flange.

- Adjust the hydraulic lift positioned previously to move the gearbox away from the front suspension crossmember.1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the bracket on the gearbox for the lower reaction rod (1b).

Refitting ( Removing

) - Refit the lower reaction rod bracket in its seat and secure it by tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Fit a new gasket on the front exhaust silencer flange.- Adjust the hydraulic lift to move the two flanges closer and then connect the front section of the exhaust pipe to the front silencer.- Tighten the nuts securing the front section of the exhaust pipe to the front silencer to the recommended torque.

- Tighten the bolt securing the lower reaction rod to the bracket on the gearbox to the recommended torque.

- Remove the hydraulic lift positioned underneath the power unit, gearbox side. Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. - Remove the vehicle from the lift.
