Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.1. Remove the rivets fixing the heat shield using a drill.2. Undo the fastenings and remove the heat shield.

Lower the heat shield carefully as the four centre bolts also secure the gear lever mounting.

Refitting ( Removing ) - Place the heat shield back in its housing, tighten the fastenings and fit new rivets.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
