Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.     Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE 1. Undo the connector for the coolant supply pipe to the engine oil heat exchanger, thermostat side.2. Loosen the band and disconnect the radiator coolant supply pipe, thermostat side.3. Disconnect the degassing pipe rapid connector.4. Detach the electrical connection for the coolant temperature sensor.

5. Loosen the band and disconnect the heater coolant supply pipe, thermostat side.
1. Undo bolts (1a) and remove thermostat (1b).
1. Remove the O-ring from the cylinder head.2. Remove the gaskets from the heater coolant supply pipe connector.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Fit a new O-ring in the special groove in the cylinder head.- Fit news gaskets on the connector for the heater coolant supply pipe connector.- Refit the thermostat in its seat and tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the coolant supply pipe to the heater, thermostat side and tighten the band.- Connect the electrical connection for the coolant temperature sensor.- Connect the degassing pipe quick coupling.- Connect the coolant supply pipe to the radiator, thermostat side and tighten the band.- Tighten the connector for the engine oil heat exchanger coolant supply pipe to the recommended torque.

The connector should be tightened keeping the pipe still. Any movements of more than 3° affect the seal of the connector.
