Op. 1008C32 GEARBOX LOWER REACTION ROD -R.R. 1. Undo bolt (1a) and disconnect steering column (1b) from the steering box pinion.

1. Undo the nuts securing the front exhaust silencer to the exhaust manifold with catalytic converter.2. Undo the bolts securing the front exhaust silencer flexible mounting to the body.3. Disconnect the rear flexible mounting for the front exhaust silencer.4. Disconnect the front exhaust silencer from the exhaust manifold with catalytic convertor, move it to one side and suitably secure it.

1. Undo the bolts securing the anti-roll bar to the front suspension crossmember.2. Undo the bolts securing the steering box to the front suspension crossmember.

1. Undo the nuts securing the anti-roll bar to the associated joints.

1. Unscrew nut (1a), fit tool (1b) and disconnect steering rod (1c) from the wheel strut.

- Proceed in the same way for the left-hand side. 1. Move the steering box forwards and remove the anti-roll bar from the front suspension crossmember.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Place the anti-roll bar in its housing and secure it to the suspension crossmember and to the two joints.- Tighten the bolts and the nuts to the recommended torque.

- Position the steering box in its housing and secure it to the front suspension crossmember by tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the steering rods to the respective struts and tighten the new nuts to the specified torque.

- Place the front exhaust silencer back in its housing.

- Connect the rear flexible mounting for the front exhaust silencer.- Tighten the bolts securing the front exhaust silencer flexible mounting to the body to the recommended torque.

- Fit a new seal and tighten the nuts securing the front exhaust silencer to the exhaust manifold with catalytic converter, to the recommended torque.
