The procedure for the left driveshaft is described below. For the right driveshaft, refer to Op. 2710A14 RIGHT DRIVESHAFT WITH JOINTS AND INTERMEDIATE DRIVESHAFT - R+R because it can only be removed together with the intermediate driveshaft.

- Position the vehicle on a lift. Op. 4450B02 LEFT FRONT WHEEL - R.R Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. Op. 7055B65 ENGINE COMPARTMENT DUST COVER IN LEFT FRONT WHEEL ARCH - R.R. Op. 0010T40 CHANGE MANUAL GEARBOX OIL 1. Remove the staking (1a), fit the tool (1b) and undo the wheel hub fixing nut.

1. Undo the two bolts securing the shock absorber to the steering knuckle.

1. Unscrew the nut (1a), fit the tool (1b) and disconnect the steering link (1c) from the strut.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the brake disc to the wheel hub.

1. Using the tool, retract the left driveshaft from the wheel hub and secure the brake disc assembly appropriately.

- Remove the tool and tighten the bolts securing the brake disc to the wheel hub to the recommended torque.

1. Release and remove the left driveshaft from the differential.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Place the left driveshaft in position connecting it to the differential and to the wheel hub.- Connect the steering link to the steering knuckle and tighten the nut to the specified torque.

- Connect the shock absorber to the wheel strut using new bolts and tighten them to the recommended torque.

To tighten to torque, position the torque wrench on the nut and not on the bolt.

- Tighten the new nut securing the wheel hub to the recommended torque using the tool used for the removal.

1. Stake the nut.
