Removing ( Refitting ) 1. Working on the rear of the brake pedal, press the retaining tabs and retract the brake servo push rod from the brake pedal.2. Rotate the brake pedal switch clockwise and remove it from its housing without disconnecting the electrical connection.3. Compress the retaining tabs and remove the brake pedal fastening pin.4. Remove the brake pedal. - Remove the retaining device from the brake servo push rod.

Always replace the retaining device for the brake servo push rod each time it is removed, even if it appears to be undamaged.

Refitting ( Removing ) - Fit the new retaining device on the brake pedal.- Place the brake pedal back in its housing and secure it using the pin.

Check that the pin (a) is locked with the splining (b) for the pedal mounting as illustrated.

- Lift up the brake pedal and position the brake servo push rod by the retaining device.- Press the brake pedal to fit the brake servo push rod on the retaining device.- Place the brake pedal switch in position and rotate it anti-clockwise to secure it to the bracket.
