The brake switch has four pins.Connect to pins 1 and 3 using a multimeter and check, by pressing the switch, that the circuit switches from normally closed to normally open.Connect the probes to pins 2 and 4 and check, by pressing the switch, that the circuit switches from normally open to normally closed.
