198001849 - K081 AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT OFF (INITIAL TEST NOT CARRIED OUT)

The air bag warning light does not come on at start-up (it should come on for 4 seconds to indicate that the initial control unit test has been carried out and then go off)

The warning lights take the form of LEDs built into the electronic circuit and are NOT therefore replaceable

1	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Connect the diagnostic test equipment (Examiner or other instruments) to the tester input.Check that the tester communicates properly with the air bag control unit and in particular:- for faults in the Air Bag control unit;- the plausibility of all the parameters	Move on to Step 2	1. No communication with the control unit2. Error detected in the control unit	1. Restore:a) connection between the Air Bag control unit and diagnostic connector;b) Air Bag control unit power supply    See E7030 AIRBAG 2. Continue following the instructions on the diagnostic equipment
