) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Position the gear lever in neutral. 1. Insert the locking pin with the gear selector and engagement unit in neutral.2. Disconnect the gear selector and engagement cables.3. Adjust the clips and disconnect the gear selection-engagement cables from the reaction bracket.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the gear selector/engagement assembly (1b).2. Remove the O-ring.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Fit a new O-ring on the gear selector and engagement unit and check that the locking pin is still inserted in the openings to maintain the neutral position.- Place the gear selector and engagement unit in position with the centering bush in the correct position.- Tighten the bolts fixing the gear selection and engagement assembly to the recommended torque.

- Introduce the cables into the openings in the bracket and secure them using the retaining clips.- Using manual pressure, connect the ends of the gear selection and engagement cables to the ball joints for the levers on the gearbox.- Remove the locking dowel for the gear selection and engagement unit.- Check the gear selection/engagement by moving the gear control lever and make sure that the self-adjustment device (quick adjuster) slides on the terminal.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
