) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Open the bonnet.1. Working from the left side of the engine, unscrew the upper starter motor bolt.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. 1. Open the protective cover for the starter motor electrical connections.2. Undo the nut.3. Disconnect electrical connections (3a, 3b) from the starter motor.

4. Unscrew the lower starter motor bolt.5. Remove the starter motor.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Check that the starter motor is not damaged.1. Place the starter motor in position.2. Screw in the lower starter motor bolt and tighten to the recommended torque.

3. Connect electrical connections (3a) for the starter motor; tighten nut (3b) and close protective cover (3c).

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. - Lower the vehicle.1. Tighten the upper bolt securing the starter motor to the recommended torque.
