Removing ( Refitting ) - Remove the left-hand bracket.    Op. 7210A03 R.R. BRACKET CONNECTING FRONT END TO SIDE PANEL/STRUT1. Disconnect negative terminal (1a) from the battery, having loosened it by rotating cam lever (1b).

1. Loosen the nut for the positive battery terminal.2. Disconnect the positive terminal from the battery.3. Disconnect the wiring retainer from the battery retaining bracket.4. Undo nut (4a) and move the bracket with battery retaining belt (4b).5. Remove the battery. Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the battery is not damaged.1. Place the battery in its housing.2. Position bracket with retaining belt (2a) on the battery and tighten nut (2b).

3. Connect the wiring retainer to the battery retaining bracket.4. Place battery positive terminal (4a) in place and secure it with nut (4b).

- Place the battery negative terminal in position, working as follows:1. Make sure that the release/attachment lever is in the opening position.2. Fit the terminal on the battery pole and press it down fully.3. Tighten lever (3a) and check that lead (3b) follows the correct path without setting up tension or having to be forced.

Exert a slight pulling force to check that the terminal is correctly attached.

    Op. 7210A03 R.R. BRACKET CONNECTING FRONT END TO SIDE PANEL/STRUT- Check that the electrical system is working.
