Removing ( Refitting ) 1. Press the brake pedal, rotate the switch in a clockwise direction and remove the switch from the pedal unit mounting.2. Disconnect the electrical connection for the brake lights switch.

Refitting ( Removing )

If a new brake light switch from the Parts Dept. is being fitted, the push rod travel does not have to be adjusted.

If the same brake light switch that was removed previously is being refitted, the push rod must be adjusted, placing it in the fully extended position as illustrated.

When extracting the push rod, take care not to damage the internal teeth.

- Press the brake pedal, fit the switch in the special splining and lock it by rotating it in an anti-clockwise direction until the retaining tooth can be heard to click into place.- Release the brake pedal.- Connect the electrical connection for the brake light switch.- Check that the brake lights are working.
