198003089 - 5040A67 PIPE FROM EXPANSION VALVE TO CONDENSER - R.R.

Removing ( Refitting )
Follow the recommended safety instructions (see 5040 - Introduction).
- Position the vehicle on a lift.- Drain the coolant.    Op. 0010T84 COOLANT FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - DEHYDRATE AND REPRESSURIZE     Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R 1. Undo the bolts (1a) and move the power assisted steering fluid reservoir (1b) releasing the lower retainer.
1. Undo the nut (1a) and disconnect the connector (1b) from the expansion valve (1c).
Op. 7210E10 R.R. FRONT BUMPER - Raise the vehicle.    Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R. 1. Undo the bolt (1a) and disconnect the connectors (1b) and (1c) for the pipes connected to the condenser (1d).
Seal the connectors that have been disconnected using suitable plugs to prevent dampness and impurities from entering the system.
1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the pressure switch.

2. Open the lower bands (2a) and disconnect the pipe (2b) connecting the expansion valve to the condenser.
- Lower the vehicle.1. Disconnect the band (1a) from the pipe.2. Undo the bolt (2a) and remove the support (2b) disconnecting it from the fuel pipes (2c).
Op. 1008B10 POWER UNIT FRONT SUPPORT FLEXIBLE MOUNTING (TIMING SIDE) - REPLACE - Move the motor slightly and remove the pipe from the expansion valve to the condenser.1. If necessary, undo the linear pressure switch.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the pipe from the expansion valve to the condenser is undamaged and is not affected by cracks that affect the seal.
Replace the O-rings on the connectors. Only use green coloured seals that are resistant to R134a coolant.Lubricate the connector threads using anti-freeze.
1. If removed, tighten the linear pressure switch.
