Check for a spark across the tips of spark gap SP-02 after making the appropriate connections via start-up transition or by means of active diagnosis in CONTROL UNIT TEST mode. In the case of start-up transition, the petrol supply pump must be interrupted so as not to damage the Lambda sensor or catalytic converter.

1IGNITION SIGNAL CHECKMake sure that the ignition key is in the STOP positionDisconnect the negative battery terminalDisconnect fuse F21 for the 15 A pump in the engine compartment fuse control unitRemove the HT coil from its housingInsert spark gap SP-02 n° 1806369000 between the HT output of the single coil and the engine block earth as shown in Fig. 1, using adaptor cable N° 3Reconnect the batteryTurn the ignition key to the starting position and check that there is a spark between the SP-02 spark gap probes.Repeat the same test on the other coils.Use the Examiner to check for and delete any errorsReset the single coil primary winding control circuitReplace the coil    Op. 5510C14 IGNITION COIL/S - R.R. if the control signal on the coil primary winding is presentIf the control signal is interrupted: restore the continuity of the wiring between the engine control unit and the coil.If the control signal coming out of the control unit is interrupted, replace the engine management control unit    Op. 1056B82 INJECTION/IGNITION SYSTEM E.C.U.
