When the key is turned to the ON position nothing happens, the instruments do not light up; In the starting position, the starter motor does not turn.

2	BATTERY CONNECTIONS CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the following, in order:- correct fastening and earth connection of the negative battery terminal;- correct fastening of positive battery terminal and all leads connected to it;- no oxidation at the earth point for the negative battery lead;	Move on to Step 3	1. Lead fastenings at the battery slack.2. Earth lead frayed.3. Connections with slack fastenings.	1. Tighten the leads correctly.2. Replace the lead Op. 5530B22 BATTERY EARTH LEAD - R+R 3. Restore the fastenings correctly.
3	IGNITION SWITCH CIRCUIT CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the correct power supply reaches the ignition switch, in particular check the condition of the maxi fuse.	Move on to Step 4	1. Connections not correct.2. Fuse damaged.	1. Restore the correct connections between the battery and the ignition switch see wiring diagram See E5010 STARTING AND RECHARING 2. Replace the fuse involved (and find out what could have caused it to blow).
4	MAXI FUSE BOX CONNECTIONS CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the following, in order:- condition of the maxi fuse box;- correct fastening and connection to the battery of the maxi fuse box.	Move on to Step 5	1. Connections not correct.2. Maxi fuse box damaged.	1. Restore the correct connections for the maxi fuse box to the battery see wiring diagram See E1010 POWER SUPPLY 2. Replace the maxi fuse box.
