199000877 - N079 PARKING DEVICE NOT WORKING

The following message appears on the control panel: driving aid not availableThe ultrasound distance detection system for parking provides the driver with information on distance while approaching obstacles behind the car.The information of the presence and distance of an obstacle is transmitted to the driver by means of acoustic warnings whose frequency depends on the distance of the obstacle. The distance measurement only takes place when the system is activated, whilst only the control unit microcontroller is operational in the inactive state.
the system is activated with the key ON and reverse engaged. The Parking Sensor Node receives a reversing signal from the Body Computer Node via the CAN line
Results of the tests
1CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Connect a diagnostic tester (Examiner) and check the following data in CAN mode:- no control unit inactive- that there are no faulty control units- no CAN line error Check that there are no faults in the parking sensor nodeMove on to Step 21. Control unit inactive2. Control unit error3. Control units with CAN line error1. Move on to Step 22. Continue as described by the diagnostic equipment3. Repair any faults in the CAN line
