199002652 - S051 CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM NOISY / (IN PASSENGER COMPARTMENT)

Whilst driving there is noise coming from the fan. This diagnosis can only be made after diagnosis    See table S015 NOISE WHILST DRIVINGCarry out the latter first.
The climate control is working normally but there is excessive noise coming from the passenger compartment fan.
Test results
0PRELIMINARY CHECKSAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
After carrying out a road test during diagnosis, a noise is heard from the front identifiable as a noise from the passenger compartment fan.    See table S015 NOISE WHILST DRIVINGMove on to Step 1
1FAN CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check the climate control/heater fan.In particular, check:- that the fan and spiral is clean, if there are any foreign bodies, deposits of dust on the vanes and/or leaves remove them/blow through moving the fan from the engine support- that there are no breaks or cracks in the fan;- there are no vibrations or noise at low speed (check the operation with the fan detached from the assembly but the electrical connection fitted).
"The operation for determining vibrations should be carried out with great care wearing protective goggles to avoid fragments of the fan being expelled into the surrounding area"
Move on to Step 21. Fan dirty2. Presence of breaks/cracks in the fan3. Electric motor noisy, fan not balanced or blades noisy.1. Clean the impeller, screw and all ducts2. Replace the fan.    Op. 5040C30 AIR CONDITIONING FAN - R.R. 3. Replace the fan.    Op. 5040C30 AIR CONDITIONING FAN - R.R.
2AIR DUCT CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check for foreign bodies and damaged components inside the air ductsMove on to Step 3Presence of foreign bodies or damaged components inside the air ductsEliminate the obstructions from the dashboard ducts
3AIR VENT CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the vents are intact and that there are no foreign bodies that could give rise to noiseMove on to Step 4Outlets blocked/damageadRestore the operation of the vents
4POLLEN FILTER CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the pollen filter is not blocked and that the recirculation air intake is not blocked with foreign bodies or parts (e.g. wiring) that are not correctly fitted.Move on to Step 51. Filter obstructed2. Air intake blocked by foreign bodies.1. Replace the filter element    Op. 5010B08 CLIMATE CONTROL OUTSIDE AIR PURIFYING (POLLEN) FILTER - R.R. 2. Eliminate the obstructions and restore correct operation.
5FAN INTAKE CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Check that the fan intake in the air intake chamber is not blocked by the presence of foreign bodies.End of diagnosisPresence of foreign bodies in the air intake chamber.Eliminate the obstructions and restore correct operation.
