Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Connect the Examiner and carry out the hydraulic gear actuation circuit depressurizing procedure.
In order for the depressurizing procedure to be successful it is necessary that:- there are no errors present- the brake pedal is kept pressed.
Disconnect the electrical connection for the pump; if the ignition is turned ON the circuit operating pressure will be restored.

2. Undo the lower bolts fixing the electro-hydraulic gear selection hydraulic implementation unit.
1. Discconnect the electrical connection for the gearbox input shaft speed sensor.

1. Disconnect the coupling connection for the hydraulic gear activation unit wiring.

1. Undo the bolt and disconnect the earth lead from the hydraulic activation unit.

The lift for removing the gearbox side power unit rigid support should be positioned via the wheel arch in order to allow the subsequent removal of the hydraulic unit.
1. Undo the upper bolts fixing the hydraulic gear actuation unit.
1. Raise the hydraulic gear implementation unit from the gearbox, rotate it forwards and remove it permanently from underneath the vehicle complete with wiring.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Remove the sealant residues from the gearbox-hydraulic activation unit matching surfaces.1. Apply a bead of LOCTITE 510 recommended silicon sealant to the gearbox in the area shown in the diagram.2. Check the alignment of the gear engagement forks on the gearbox.
1. Place the gear selection and engagement device for the hydraulic gear implementation unit in neutral.2. Check the position of the centering bushes.
- Fit the hydraulic gear actuator unit on the gearbox taking care to fit the contact surfaces together fully and uniformly.- Retract the clutch control push rod and place it in contact with the clutch release lever.Tighten the upper bolts fixing the gear implementation hydraulic unit to the recommended torque.
